Until Lilly by Aurora Rose Reynolds
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
4.5 I.SIMPLY.LOVED.IT! stars
“Why can’t I hate you?” Her words are quiet, and I can hardly make them out. I whisper into her ear before kissing her under it, “Because I am your one, too.” *sigh*
I was expecting this book since I read the preview of Lilly and Cash's relationship at the end of Until Trevor, so when I knew this was out I had to jump and read it. The story was exactly what I was expecting, so not much of a surprise in there, but I enjoyed so much that my husband kept throwing pillows at me so I stop laughing... ok not my problem that he decided to fall sleep while I read the funniest scene in the book!!!
So in this book, we have the same elements that in the previous books, a super HOT dominant alpha, a funny, strong and sweet heroine and a bunch of hot, super sexy scenes and of course there's more in the story line, not a simple romantic story.
If you've read Until November and Until Trevor you must be aware that the Mayson brothers fall in love of THE ONE fast and hard, and Cash is not the exception, he fell in love with Lilly but the couldn't be together because Cash had to do what he thought was the right thing, but when they find each other again they can't deny their feelings, even though Lilly is not reluctant.
I hated what Lilly has to went through, but I loved the results, their relationship was stronger than ever. I simply enjoyed every detail of this book. The end was a little bit of a shock for me, I mean I knew that twat Jules was crazy but not that much.
Anyway, there's a bunch of sweet moments, specially with the kids...
“Daddy said that it’s my job as your big brother to take care of you.”
“Well, if Mommy and Daddy have another baby,” I feel Cash’s hands squeeze me, “I will be bigger than them,” she says, and I can see her putting her hands on her hips like a total diva.
“I will still be bigger.” He sighs like he is annoyed, making me giggle.
funny moments...
“I don’t know what that is. I don’t have Facebook.”
“You don’t have Facebook?” I gasp. “How in the world do you know what’s going on with your friends if you don’t have Facebook?”
“I call them and say ‘hey, what’s going on? How are things? Anything new?’”
“Oh, yeah, I guess you could do that.” He squeezes my hand and chuckles. ”
and SUPER hot moments...
“You always say that. ‘I’m going to be pissed.’ When was the last time you were pissed?” I ask. His head tilts, studying me.
“I don’t know. A while, why? You trying to piss me off?”
“What? No!” I squeal as he leans in, pressing me to the wall behind me.
“You have a perfect ass, babe.”
“What?” I breathe, feeling goose bumps form across my skin.
“I can’t wait to get my hands on it and turn it red, so please, try to piss me off. It will just get me what I want faster.” I feel moisture flood between my thighs at his comment. I have never been spanked, and I don’t understand why that turns me on, but it does.
but my favorite part of the book is when Cash meets Lilly's parents through Skype, that was simply hilarious!
Do I recommend this book?... HELL YEAH!...LOVED IT, LOVED IT, LOVED IT!

Her Boss The Alpha by K.S. Martin
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
3 - 3.5 ALPHA STARS
Ok, where to start with this one. To be totally honest I'm not a big fan o paranormal books, I mean, aside of the Twilight series I don't have much experience in the genre, so I tried to read this one with an open mind. So why I decided to read this one?... well the first two things that caught my attention were the title and the cover, yep I was like "Alpha AND Boss in the title?, PLUS a hot cover?, COUNT ME IN!"... YES, I have to admit, I'm a hot cover whore *blush*... after that I read the description and I was like "mmm paranormal?" and the I saw that it was a short read so I was like "Let's do this!"
So Jake, The Alpha, is Lauren's boss, she's been working for him for a year, she's a hard worker and basically has no life. He's a businessman AND a werewolf, and of course he wants to claim her as his. Ok being honest, I LOVE this concept of claim her, so I was enjoying the book so far. Back to the story, she feels him watching her every time, making her uncomfortable.
“What is that guy’s problem?” She muttered to herself. “Why is he always staring, leering even at me?”
She ends up stuck with him due to a situation with her car and he ask her to join him for diner as a payment for his help, and basically the dialogue between them gets pretty intense.
“Let me feed you and when we finish, if you want to, I’ll take care of your other needs.”
WHAT?! At this point I was thinking "This is going to be the fastest mating I've heard about", but again, I have not so much experience in this genre, so I reminded myself to keep an open mind.
THEN we get to the juicy part (no pun intended) the sex scenes, which are SUPER HOT!... I mean no wonder he is an Alpha, because he is plain hot and domineering.
He pushed her thighs apart and kissed the soft flesh of her inner thighs, she watched him down the length of her body, her fingers knotted in the sheet beneath her. “I want to taste you, I’ve wanted to taste you since the Moment I first saw you.” His blue eyes were intent on hers as his tongue worked slowly from the well of her vagina up to the sensitive bundle of nerves. Lauren nearly came off the bed.
The story develops and it gets interesting when Lauren is caught up in his world, given a different sense to the story, and that's all the details I'm going to share of this one, but overall it's an enjoyable, sexy reading.

Kaleidoscope by Kristen Ashley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
***5 beautiful stars***
"You think you lost beauty, but you didn’t. Just turn the dial."
Oh Kristen Ashley, you did it again!... I have to admit I had some doubts since the previous book was not my favorite, but no, this is another great book in the series!
Jacob Decker is a genius, hot, sexy and handsome PI, for years he's been hung up on his ex, and because of that he cut ties with Emmanuelle Holmes 9 years ago, his ex's best friend who had an special bond with Jacob. They reconnect when Deck goes to Gnaw Bone and finds Emme on the street, but she's not the same Emme she used to be, she's different and he finds himself not wanting to fight the attraction he feels to her.
Things progress fat between them, although Emme is dating a man involved in Jacob's case.
“Before, we had Elsbeth between us. My head was fucked about that, about her, and it took almost a decade to get it unfucked. Lookin’ back, havin’ you back, I now know and I reckon you know, that’s the way it was. She was between us. She knew it too. And she didn’t like it. But it didn’t matter. My head was fucked so I couldn’t see clear of her and not doin’ that, I didn’t see you."
I knew my lips had parted. I also knew my eyes got big. And last, I had no clue what to say. So I said nothing.
“Now she isn’t between us,” he finished."
I love the story, is so beautiful how they admit they always had feelings for each other and how they start a relationship, the problem was, Emme was marked when she was 12 years and she still needed to deal with that in order to move on with Jacob.
The book, as any other KA's book, has an element of suspense that makes it a great read, and as usual another great elements are the hot sexy moments, the super hot alpha male that wants to protect his woman at all cost AND the GIRL POSSE!
“Is the sex good?” Krystal asked me, and my head jerked again.
“I, well… it… we just started—” I stammered, not even knowing why I was stammering instead of telling her that was none of her business.
“I hope it’s good but not great,” Krystal remarked. “Sex slave to an alpha. Bad news.” This time my head didn’t jerk. I blinked again.
“I’m a sex slave to an alpha and I have no complaints,” Lauren muttered, grinning at Zara. “Me either,” Zara replied, grinning back.
“I’ve had mine longer than all of you,” Nina announced. “And I’m of a mind that there will never be a time I complain mostly because it’s been years and Max has given me nothing to complain about"
Yes funny moments and did I mention SUPER.HOT.SEXY.SCENES?...
Kneeling between her opened legs, he held her eyes as he rolled it on. “You’re beautiful, Emme,” he whispered.
“Jacob—” He fell forward and covered her, lips to her lips, he rolled his hips and positioned the tip of his cock inside. “I’m big, honey,” he murmured against her mouth.
"I noticed,” she breathed, her arms rounding him. He slid an inch deeper. Tight. Heaven. Fuck, he wanted to bury himself inside.
“You can’t take me, tell me, or you can’t talk, bite my shoulder.”
“More,” she panted, lifting her hips. Fuck yes. He slid an inch deeper. He closed his eyes and rested his forehead against hers. Slick. Close. Fucking heaven. “More, honey,” she begged. He gave her more, slid out and partially back in. “Jacob—”
“We go slow.” He gave her more, slid out and then partially back in. She squirmed under him, tipping up her hips. Beautiful. Fuck. Killing him.
“Jacob—”
“Slow"
"God,” she whimpered as he gave her more, slid back out and then in. Her legs rounded him and her nails again scraped his back.
“Jacob—” He opened his eyes. “Slow.”
“But—” He slid out and back in. “I—” she began. “Sl—” he started to repeat, but she tipped her chin, caught his lower lip between her teeth, locked her eyes with his, let his lip go and begged, “Please, honey, fuck me.”
Her words, her actions broke his control and he couldn’t hold back any longer. He thrust in savagely and buried himself to the root"
For me this was a great book, definately worth it!

Going Down by Shelli Stevens
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
4 "Hot Wyatt Brother" Stars
I still don't remember how I found this book, but the truth is I don't care, the point is It's great!.
Ellie is a yoga instructor from Chicago who needs to skip town, avoiding to testify in court against his ex, who's been charged with drug trafficking. So she ends in the picturesque town of Wyattsville, Oregon, where she meets the hot sheriff in town, Tyson Wyatt. So the first encounter is pretty much him running after her, since she has some issues with men in uniform, and things started to build between them pretty quickly.
Ellie's body stirred with awareness at his proximity, her nipples tightening beneath her tank top. She licked her lips, acutely aware of the thin cotton covering her bare breasts.
"How long do you plan on being in town?" he asked softly, his gaze on her mouth.
Her heart thumped wildly and she had the craziest urge to lean forward and press her mouth against his.
"Probably just a couple of months. Getting out of the city for the summer..."
"Well then, Ellie," he murmured. "I have a feeling we'll be seeing each other again real soon. So you'd better get over that distrust of law enforcement bit."
Her knees almost buckled when he stepped away without touching her. Disappointment swept through her. You're an idiot. Being disappointed that a cop you don't know didn't kiss you?
"I'll, um, work on it." She cleared her throat. "Was there a reason you dropped by in the first place?"
"Just wanted to welcome you to Wyattville and introduce myself." He laughed and shook his head.
"Damn, guess I forgot to do both of those, now didn't I? The name's Tyson Wyatt and welcome to town."
So the book is short, basically it focus on how the met, they need to trust each other, specially Ellie and yes, how the fall into each other, Oh and there are great sex scenes too, so what's not to like!

Checkmate by R.L. Mathewson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
4.5 Funny as Hell Stars!!!
I LOVED this book right from the beginning, it's simply HILARIOUS!
This is the story of Rory James and Connor O'Neil; they've been enemies since kindergarten, but it's not just a simple rivalry, it's more like they TRULY hate each other and want to ruin each others life.
They rivalry is so intense that the whole town have rules for them, not being able to be in the same place at the same time and they're banned from most of the stablishments in town.
They end up working together and they want to kill each other, and the process is super funny!.
If you read the previous books in the series you're gonna love that Jason and Trevor Bradford appear in this book as well, since they're Rory's cousins and you know the Bradford family is very tight.
I don't want to spoil the reading, so I'm not going to post quotes of this book, but like I said, I was laughing from the beginning, so here's how everything started:
Twenty-five years earlier.........
"Rory's a boy's name," the mean little boy who'd pushed her off the swing only seconds earlier, announced as he glared down at her accusingly.
Never taking her eyes away from the bully, Rory slowly got up as she wiped dirt off her shirt and jeans. When she finally stood up all the way she was forced to tilt her head back slightly so that she could continue to glare at him the way her older brothers had taught her.
"It's a girl's name," she said, taking a deep breath and shoving him back.
One thing she'd learned, thanks to having five older brothers, was never to let anyone push her around. Once you did, you'd have to sleep with one eye open and keep an eye out for snakes in your bed, spit in your cereal, and toe nails in your mac and cheese. She might have to put up with five big bullies at home, but that didn't mean that she was going to put up with it at preschool, she decided as she gave the boy that had all the girls giggling and calling cute, another shove.
"You're ugly!" he practically sneered as he reached over and pulled one of her pigtails, hard.
"Well, you smell like my brother's butt!" she said, shoving him hard, cause she really couldn't call him ugly since he was kind of cute with honey blonde hair and green eyes.
"Well, you look like my uncle's butt!" he said, yanking the other pigtail hard enough to make her eyes sting.
"Well, you-"
"That's enough of that!" Mrs. Fitzpatrick, the mean woman her father left her with, said as she grabbed them each by the arm. With a firm tug, she dragged them towards the large multicolored building that her father said looked like a rainbow took a shit on. She wasn't sure what shit was exactly, but she knew that no matter what shit was, her father was probably right.
"She started it!" the boy pointed out as they were dragged to the small table in the far corner with the scary clown painted on it.
"That's enough of that, Connor," Mrs.Fitzpatrick said sternly as she planted them on wobbly, red blotched stools. "You will both sit here and think about what you did while the rest of the children enjoy free play."
Rory narrowed her eyes on the little boy that had cost her a turn on the swings as he narrowed his eyes on her.
"You'll pay for this," he promised tightly.
"No, you will," she said, knowing the second, the very second, Mrs. Fitzpatrick turned her back on them that the large jar of pink glitter by the window was going to find its way into Connor's hair.

Kaleb by Nicole Edwards
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
2.5-3 stars
Where do I start. First, I was having some issues to keep reading, because for me it was very slow at the beginning, nothing really happened, I didn't feel the thrill of the chase between Kaleb and Zoey, it was like "I want her", "I want him" but they didn't do anything about it. It was a bit frustrating.
I have to be honest, once the things started to heat up between them there was some pages worth reading again ;D. There are some menage scenes, which for my tastes are well written.
I think I was expecting a little bit of drama, but it never came and to be honest, I still don't know how to feel about Kaleb, I thought he was going to be a sexy, hot, alpha, but I'm not sure if he fits in there.
Another thing that I liked is when a book links the story with the next book in the series, and in this one there's a bit of the storyline for next book, Zane and V's story, and I'm hoping that one is going to be a good read.
